The profit after tax of Fatima Fertiliser Company has increased to Rs 2.273 billion in the quarter ended March 31, 2017 as compared to Rs 1.125 billion earned in the corresponding period in 2016. The board of directors of the company in its meeting declared that the company's earning per share has increased to Rs 1.08 in the period under review against Rs 0.54 in the same period last year.
According to the financial results, the company's sales increased to Rs 8.258 billion in this quarter against Rs 5.347 billion in the same quarter last year while the cost of sales increased to Rs 3.750 billion against Rs 2.522 billion. The company's profit before taxation increased to Rs 2.905 billion in this quarter against Rs 1.651 billion in the same quarter last year.
