Secretary General of Jamaat-I-Islami Women Wing, Durdana Siddique has said that growing unrest, poverty, inflation and load shedding is disturbing the lives of the citizens and in current terrible situation Jamaat-I-Islami is the only hope for the nation. Addressing the quarterly meeting of JI Women Wing here on Friday, she said that the propagation of purposeful and positive thinking and views is important for the guidance of the society.
The proper and effective use of media, preservation of moral ethics and religious consciousness can be helpful in preventing the distortions in society, she added. "Promotion of good things in the field of media with consistency and in an organised manner is our responsibility," she said. Durdana said that the Muslim Ummah is facing problems worldwide and the genocide taking place in Syria, Iraq, Palestine, Kashmir and Afghanistan is painful. It is the need of time that the Muslim leaders should unite for a greater cause, she added.
She expressed her concerns over the current situation of the country and said that the only solution for relieving the country of current crisis is giving the power to the moderate people. If issues of the masses were not addressed, the nation would lose its faith on equity and justice, she added. "Realising the importance of ballet, we should strengthen Jamaat-I-Islami otherwise the conditions may get worse therefore this message should be effectively delivered to the nation through 'Public Co-ordination Campaign' of Jamaat-I-Islami," she urged.
During the meeting Rabia Alam member of Central Executive Council talked on 'Aafaq-ul-Lisaan'. During the session, the president of media cell, Aaliya Mansoor and vice-president, Sadia Hamna discussed on the reports of the departments working under Media Cell. The session was attended by Information Secretary Saima Iftikhar, head of Website Asma Rasheed, Head of Roshni Media Shazia Abdul Qadir and head of Hareem-e-Adab Aliya Shamim as well as Deputy Secretary General, Amna Usman, and Farhan Aurangzeb.
