SGRH declared fit for treatment of gynea complications

Sir Ganga Ram Hospital (SGRH), Lahore, where over 28,000 deliveries take place annually, has been declared fit for dealing with gynea-related complications. This was stated by SGRH Medical Superintendent (MS) Dr. Nauman Matloob Syed while talking to APP here on Sunday.
He said that in a meager amount of Rs 300 million, the hospital was managing to provide free medicines to patients as well. Describing performance of the hospital, the MS said that around 600,000 patients visited its OPDs while more than 500,000 patients were provided treatment at its emergency department in the last one year.
He said that as per the capacity of the hospital, 30,000 operations were conducted, 86,000 ultrasound and 13,000 MRI tests were performed during one year.
About its laboratories, he said that around 5.5 million different lab tests of bloods and 12,000 dialysis were performed per annum.
Responding to a question, he said that 16 dialysis machines were working to provide dialysis facility free-of-cost to the patients.
About the staff strength, Dr. Nauman Matloob said that 3,000 staff of the Ganga Ram Hospital including 1,000 qualified doctors and teaching professors of different departments in many shifts were busy in performing their duties.
He said that hygiene and cleanliness conditions were being monitored continuously and no complaint has ever been received in this regard. However, the management of the hospital is making effort to keep this hospital neat and clean besides provision of the best healthcare to patients.
