A large number of men, women and students thronged to Peshawar's three-day "Hunar Mela" which ended on Sunday, with traditional music and dances highlighting the event. Young men danced as Humayun Khan, Zafar Khan, Meena Gul, Zahirullah, Falik Shabbir, Zeek Afridi and others arrived onstage to sing traditional songs representing the many cultures of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Families visited stalls displaying handicrafts, embroidery, Taghar work, Bannu Royal Khaadi, Peshawari caps and shoes, wax painting, metalwork, stone carving and wood carving, artwork, calligraphy, smples of Gandhara art, pottery work, Hazara Jisti shawl, a national book gallery, tourists information centre Kalasha art and embroidery. The event, held at the PIA Planetarium, was,organized by the Tourism Corporation of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
