Indonesian Consul General in Karachi Dempo Awang Yuddie has said that Indonesia will soon offer fellowship for the students and faculty members of Sindh University in order to provide them with an opportunity to study in Indonesian top universities and pursue their PhDs there. He said the role of higher education as well as research could not be ignored in national development and progress.
This he said while addressing the faculty members at Sindh University's Area Study Centre (ASC). The director of the centre Professor Dr Hamadullah Kakepoto was also present on the occasion. CG Yuddie said that he will soon provide Sindh University with good number of books written on Indonesia so that students and faculty might get familiar with Indonesian culture and economy. He said he got highly inspired by the positive efforts made by Area Study Centre in promoting the bilateral relations of Pakistan and Indonesia adding that he would try his best to further strengthen the relations of the two countries.
