The interior and exterior of Y-12 aircraft of Air Eagle, a project of Pakistan Air Force, has been refurbished by the engineering and maintenance division of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) According to details, the refurbishment of the aircraft's cabin and its paint job has been accomplished and the aircraft delivered to the Air Eagle, the other day.
This was stated by PIA acting CEO Nayyar Hayat at a simple ceremony held in this connection at the head office of the airline. Later, the acting CEO, along with Air Eagle's chief executive Air Commodore (retd.), Shahjahan Sattar Khan, signed the delivery receipt of the refurbished aircraft.
He said that PIA's engineering division was aiming to expand its maintenance capabilities to fill in the gap for servicing aircraft in Pakistan. Speaking on the occasion, Sattar Khan appreciated the Y 12 aircraft's refurbishment work. Senior officials of PIA, including CTO Amir Ali, and that of Air Eagle were also present at the ceremony. Earlier this month, PIA engineering & maintenance division had successfully carried out Check '1-C' of the Pakistan Navy's ATR-72 aircraft.
