The Augere Pakistan, being the first company to provide LTE services to the corporate sector, plans to invest up to $10 million to carry out network deployment within the next two years. The services, at the first phase, will be available in 11 cities in the country, mainly targeting Punjab with seven centers including Sialkot, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Multan, Rahim Yar Khan, Gujranwala and Gujrat. The LTE operations are also being started in Sukkur, Hyderabad, Peshawar and Quetta.
"An investment of $2 million, in the first phase, is being poured into developing the infrastructure with a plan to explore new cities for the services project," CEO Augere, Jamal Nasir Khan told a news conference held on Tuesday at a local hotel, saying that the company plans to spend up to $10 million over the next two years for the network spread.
He felt a dearth of infrastructure with existing unreliable services scaling down the connectivity, whereas the satellite based internet is expensive for the corporate sector to meet its requirements, saying that the Augere offers financially viable and reliable supplies around the clock. He said that it is for the first time that any company offers LTE services to the corporate sector in Pakistan.
"Augere LTE would offer reliable LTE connectivity with optimum latency over licensed frequency band that too at highly affordable pricing than Fiber, VSAT and Radio links. LTE deployment time is practically less than 1 hour which has no comparison while working with existing media available in the market," he said. He said that with the LTE now under its umbrella, Augere ensures unbeatable services and unmatched customer support. `"It always treats its existing customers as partners and not just clients. To all the prospective clients, Augere would like to extend an invitation for a lucrative business relationship. In Augere, we assure you to find a dependable and reliable business partner who you can trust for the best and most effective solutions," he added.
Currently, the CEO Augere said, the LTE service is available to mobile phone users only; however, company introduces the technology for the country's corporate sector that is expected to augment businesses with a high-speed uninterrupted bandwidth. "The connectivity is essential to run their business operations. Newly planned Premium Corporate LTE by Augere will be capable of delivering speeds of up to 100Mbps per customer," he said.
Jamal Nasir Khan said that the company plans to upgrade the WIMAX network in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and Rawalpindi by the end of 2017. "Augere LTE is designed to meet the high-speed connectivity and data transfer requirements of Corporate and SME Clients especially in Tier-2 cities where the corporate clients demand High Capacity, Low Latency, Unlimited Volume, High Spectral Efficiency and Flexible Asymmetric Service Profile for large and small scale businesses," he added.
