SC special bench to hear Hussain's plea tomorrow

28 May, 2017

A three-judge Special Bench of the Supreme Court will hear the plea of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's elder son Hussain Nawaz, who has expressed reservations over two members of joint investigation team (JIT) probing the Panama Papers scam, on May 29. On May 20, Hussain Nawaz submitted a five-page application before the registrar of the apex court against two JIT members, Bilal Rasool and Ahmer Aziz, showing reservations over impartiality of the officers in the probe.
Hussain Nawaz has alleged that Bilal Rasool - a representative from the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), is nephew of Mian Muhammad Azhar, who is a supporter of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
