Kidnapping cases surge in Islamabad

The incidents of kidnapping registered an upward trend while cases of robberies and auto thefts witnessed a decline during the last week in the federal Capital. According to data gathered by Business Recorder here on Saturday, various police stations of the city registered seven cases of kidnapping, four cases of robberies and three cases of motor vehicle theft during the last week.
Among seven cases of kidnapping, most of the abductees include girls and women. During the last week, Karachi Company police station registered two cases of kidnapping and one case of robbery. One Gulzar Khan filed a complaint with Karachi Company police station that a grinder machine and mobile phone have been stolen from his house and he suspects that accused Mazhar might be involved in it.
In another incident, Nasreen Bibi informed Karachi Company police station that accused Imran Nawaz kidnapped his daughter while Usman Anwar filed a complaint with the same police station that unknown people kidnapped his father namely Anwar.
One Shaukat Ali, resident of Firash Town, lodged a complaint with Shahzad Town police station that accused Zareen Akbar along with his five accomplices kidnapped his daughter.
One Naveed Ahmad lodged a complaint with Secretariat police station that accused Bilal and Shaban have kidnapped his wife. During the last week, One Ghulam Habib lodged a complaint with Golra police station that Muhammad Tahir has kidnapped his daughter.
In another incident, some unknown people abducted one Fazal Wahid from the limits of Koral Police station.
One Tariq Aziz, resident of Model Town, filed a complaint with Sihala police station that accused Usman along with his female accomplice kidnapped his daughter. During the period under review, Jahangir Akram of PWD Colony filed a complaint with Lohi Bher police station that four armed persons stormed into this house and snatched gold ornaments and cash, while Zubair Fazal belonging to sector G-11/3 of the federal capital lodged a complaint with Ramna police station that laptop, camera and other valuables have been stolen from his house.
During the same period, Industrial Area and Sabzi Mandi police stations registered one case each of auto theft. Auto thieves stole a car bearing registration number LZV-9697 of Mohsin Ali Shah from the limits of Industrial Area police station and stole another car bearing registration number LD-998 of Abid Khan of sector I-10/1 from the limits of Sabzi Mandi police station.
