Budget 2017-18: record resources being allocated for Southern Punjab: Shahbaz

Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday said the government is going to allocate record resources in budget 2017-18 for progress and prosperity of South Punjab. While talking to Sardar Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari MNA, who called on him here, Shehbaz said the government will launch clean drinking water supply projects in 37 tehsils of the southern Punjab.
Shehbaz said implementation on mega projects will be continued for the prosperity of people of South Punjab. He said special measures will be taken for the development of the agriculture and welfare of farmers, adding a network of carpeted roads has been laid in rural areas under Khadam-e-Punjab Rural Roads Programme and this programme will continue during the next financial year. Referring Multan Metro Bus Service, he said it is providing safe, swift and modern travelling facilities to the people.
