PHFMC to take over control of 14 BHUs

The Punjab Health Facilities Management Company (PHFMC) will take over the management of basic health units of 14 districts which are currently operated under the Punjab Rural Supports Programme (PRSP). Punjab Minister for Primary & Secondary Health Kh Imran Nazir said this while presiding over a meeting of Board of Directors of the company, here Wednesday. He said all the employees of BHUs would continue to work with PHFMC and no one would be removed from the service.
Besides, Secretary P&S Health Ali Jan Khan, CEO PHFMC Muhammad Ali Amir, Professor Faisal Masood, Dr Naeem-ud-Din Mian, Additional Secretary Technical Dr Asim Altaf, Project Director Policy and Strategy Planning Unit Muhammad Khan Ranjha, CEO Punjab Health Initiative Management Company Dr Saira Siddique, Deputy Secretary Dr Yadullah and other officers attended the meeting. Imran Nazir directed that the pending financial liabilities should also be cleared immediately. The board also constituted various committees to speed up the transaction process of BHUs of the PRSP districts to the PHFMC.
