The Met Office forecast hot and dry weather for the country in the next 24 hours. Sibbi and Dadu emerged hottest places on Friday with maximum temperature of 48 degrees Celsius. Rahim Yar Khan sizzled with 47, Jacobabad, Shaheed Benazirabad, Padidan, Larkana and Nokkundi 46, each in the last 24 hours. "Continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country," it said.
The Met Office said that mainly hot and dry weather is expected in the most parts of the country, while very hot weather is likely over plain areas of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Upper Sindh and its adjoining Balochistan in the next 24 hours.
