Punjab budget reflects speedy development: Rana

Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan has said that the Punjab government has presented biggest historical budget for the year 2017-18 which reflects the speedy and sustainable development of different sectors. He was addressing the participants of an Iftar party. He said that huge funds have been earmarked for education, health and infrastructure development.
He informed that all development schemes proposed by the parliamentarian belonging to Faisalabad were included in the budget besides allocation of Rs 3.5 billion for the mega development projects including underpass at Kashmir bridge canal road and new Novality bridge underpass at Samundri road. Rana said that Punjab government had already completed various mega projects in Faisalabad at a cost of Rs 40 billion including Canal Express Way, Jhal Chowk Underpass, Children Hospital and Water Supply Project. He said CM Punjab announced the establishment of I.T. University at Faisalabad besides giving the status of Faisalabad Medical University to the Punjab Medical College which would help to promote the I.T. and medical education. He said that Chief Minister Punjab also laid foundation stone for the launching of Safe city project under which 3,500 most sophisticated CCTV cameras would be installed in the city and city would be watched from a single room. The crimes would be controlled through safe city project, he mentioned.
Rana Sanaullah said that Shahbaz Sharif was working very hard for the development of the province and through his strenuous efforts the power plants at Bhikhi and Sahiwal were completed and are now producing electricity. He informed that Baluki Power Plant and Haveli Buhadar Shah Power Plant would start generating electricity by the next August and September.
He said that the mission to serve the masses would continue and development projects had been completed in the constituency of PP 70 in education, road, sanitation and other sectors. He said that two Girls Degree Colleges and Govt. General Hospital have been established to provide the higher education to the females and medical facilities to the patients at their door steps.
