President Mamnoon Hussain says Pakistan will emerge as a strong economic power in the next five years due to the government's effective economic reforms. Talking to newspersons in Madina Munawara, he said reforms have been introduced in every sector, which will yield sustainable impact. The President said the government is working for the wellbeing of people and development of the country. He said Pakistan and Saudi Arabia enjoy close and brotherly relations.
Earlier, the President offered prayers at Roza-e-Rasool (SAWW) and prayed for the security and stability of Pakistan Meanwhile, Advisor on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz says Pakistan will soon be at the centre stage of massive trade activities after attaining full membership of Shanghai Cooperation Organization. In an interview in Islamabad, he said Pakistan enjoys multi-dimensional ties with SCO countries, and after becoming its full member, the opportunities in multilateral cooperation, land and connectivity and trade activities will get a spur.
The Advisor termed the meetings of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif with Russian and Afghan Presidents in Kazakhstan very constructive. He said Pakistan and Russia have developed deep defence cooperation in recent times, which will be strengthened in the coming years. He said efforts are being made to address issues of visa and customs regulations with Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan. The Advisor said China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and Karakorum Highway will serve the main linkage between the land-locked Central Asian countries and the rest of the world.
