Hajj, Umrah service affectees: NAB KP distributes cheques of Rs 8.843 millions

The Director General (DG) NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Brigadier Farooq Naser Awan (R) distributed cheques amounting to Rs 8.843 million amongst 31 affectees (2nd Installment) of Afridi Hajj & Umrah Services Pvt Ltd Peshawar in a graceful ceremony held at NAB (KP).
The accused persons were running a fake Travel Agency in the name of Afridi Hajj & Umrah Services Private Ltd Peshawar. They collected approximately Rs 340,000/- to Rs 380,000/-per pilgrim (Haji) in garb of private Hajj facility. The affectees were made to go to the entire Hajj application process. They also arranged a training session for Hujjaj at Roman Shadi Hall, Ring Road Peshawar, where Ahhram, Bags and Books were distributed among them.
They were given different dated for flight when the Hujjaj reached the airport they found out that accused persons have deprived them of their hard earned money. During the course of inquiry the accused persons accepted his guilt and returned the looted money. The DG NAB (KP) assured the general public that NAB (KP) will continue its efforts without any fear or favour and ensure the recovery of looted money from the culprits and return to its rightful heirs.
