The Lahore High Court on Tuesday directed the DIG investigation to complete the investigation in a case seeking recovery of a lawyer's wife Ayesha and her son. Earlier, the court expressed dismay over delay in completion of investigation and directed the DIG who appeared before the court. The court had reprimanded DSP Race Course circle Safdar Kazmi for not completing investigation of the case within given time.
Zareena Bibi, mother of Ayesha, has approached the LHC for recovery of her daughter and grandson. The petitioner's counsel, Asma Jahangir, submitted that petitioner's 26-year-old daughter was married to Maqsood Buttar advocate and a baby was also born to them.
She claimed that Ayesha often talked about irreconcilable differences with her husband.
She submitted both her daughter and grandson are missing since November 30, 2016 when she last visited them. She said the petitioner had approached the police but it failed to recover Ayesha and her son so far. She had sought directions for recovery of Ayesha and her son and action against her son-in-law.
