23 Jun, 2017

The Milli Yakjehti Council (MYC), an umbrella organisation of religious parties from different schools of thought, has called for the unity of Ummah to resolve unprecedented national as well as global challenges. Speaking here on Thursday at Al-Quds Conference, the speakers from all the religious schools of thoughts said liberation of Kashmir and Palestine is only possible through unity.
The speakers said that entire Muslim world is bleeding due to pity sectarian differences and unity among the Muslims is need of the hour to come out of the crisis, saying that hundreds of thousands people have been killed in Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan as a result of divisions among the Muslims ranks.
Kashmir has been occupied since 1947 and so is with the Palestine. Moreover, in recent time additional Muslim regions including Libya, Somalia and Burma have also come under oppression by different forces, they added. General Secretary MYC Liaqaut Baloch speaking on the occasion said that Pakistan was created in the name of Islam and Muslims worldwide consider it as a power centre of the Ummah so Pakistan will have to play most critical role to settle the disputes among the Muslim states. He said that enemies are making their all efforts to keep Muslims divided so that they can have firm hold on the occupied Muslim regions including Kashmir and Palestine.
The speakers including Mian Aslam of Jamaat-e-Islami, Milli Yakjehti Council Deputy Secretary General Saqib Akbar, Abdullah Gull, Qazi Asif Luqman, Abdul Rasheed Turabi, Majlis- e-Wahdatul Muslimeen Secretary General Raja Nasir Abbas, and Maqsood Ahmad Salfi expressed their views on the subject.
President Pakistan Youth Movement Abdullah Gull stressed that Pakistan being leading Muslim power in the Islamic world must utilise all resources to resolve the problems being faced by the Muslim countries. He said, "We must not tolerate violations of our international borders by any force. If any force is violating Pakistani sovereignty, it must be dealt as enemy."
The council announced to hold countrywide rallies on Jumatul-Wida (last Friday of the holy month of Ramazan) against Zionist occupation of Palestine and Indian occupation of Kashmir to highlight the anti-humanity treatment with the people of the occupied territories.
They said that Al-Quds and Palestine is not the issue of Arabs only but it is of the entire Muslim Ummah, and its solution lies in unity in the ranks of Ummah. They said the recent US-Arab conference stood exposed for its conspiracies against Palestine and the freedom and resistance movements, including Hamas, Jehad-e-Islami and Islamic Front.
The experts charged that by declaring these organisations fighting for the rights of Palestinians and against the occupation of Al-Quds by the Zionists as terror outfits, certain powers want to strengthen Israel in the region.
They called for marking the Al-Quds Day each year at official level in Pakistan. The forum vowed to continue supporting the just cause of Palestinians and that without a fair solution to this issue, there is no possibility of global peace.
