The foreign investors emerged net buyers of shares at Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) as they bought equities worth $9.193 million during the outgoing week ended June 22, 2017. The foreigners were continuously withdrawing their investment from Pakistan capital market since the beginning of the year. Only in the month of June 2017, the foreigners sold out shares worth $26.208 million and withdraw their investment from Pakistan stock market.
According to current data of National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited (NCCPL) a net outflow of $366.061 million registered during the period from January 01, 2017 to June 22, 2017. Analysts expect that foreign portfolio investment will increase after up-gradation of Pakistan to MSCI Emerging Market Index from Frontier Market Index.
