Over Rs 1.35 billion being spent on uplift projects in Bhit Shah

Provincial Assembly member Dr. Makhdoom Rafik Zaman has said that over Rs 1.35 billion development schemes under provincial and district Annual Development Programme (ADP) were underway in Bhitshah which will benefit the people of the areas.
He directed the officers concerned to black list the contractors who were involved in slow work on projects due to their lethargy cost of schemes multiplies. Bhit Shah is a major town and home to shrine of great saint poet Hazrat Shah Latif Bhittai, therefore, mega uplift projects including Bhit Shah Public School, medical college, water supply and drainage scheme, construction of roads, streets, CC blocks and other schemes were being carried out to facilitate public and make the town beautiful.
He informed that in a meeting with PPPP Chief Asif Ali Zardari about pending work of International Sufi University; who has assured for early start of the work on this mega project. To a question regarding joining of ex-Zila Nazim Mohammad Ali Shah Jamot to PPP, he said that he had always followed party policies and never violated party discipline adding that whatever party decides in future, it will be followed in letter and sprit as well, he categorically said.
This he said while talking to Media representatives accompanied by Chairman District council Matiari Makhdoom Fakhar Zaman after briefing on progress of development schemes by concerned officers at Bhit Shah Rest House on Friday. Deputy Commissioner Matiari Parwaiz Ahmad baloch and other officials were also present during briefing.
Earlier, Executive Engineer of Roads sector Arshad Bhutto, Executive Engineer Buildings Anwar Memon and Executive Engineer Education Works Gohar Abro briefed him in detail about the ongoing as well as new schemes. They informed that work on Rs 200 million Bhit Shah Public School, Rs 400 million water supply and drainage, Rs 740 million National Highway via Bhitshah to Tando Adam 27km long road, Rs 18 million Bhit Shah to village Mirjat link road projects and other schemes were underway.
Makhdoom Rafik informed that there were more schemes which have been got approved for improvement of infrastructure, welfare and prosperity of people of Matiari. He said that he would also talk to Sindh Chief Minister for early release of funds for timely completion of major schemes.
