The Met Office on Saturday forecast mainly hot and humid weather for the most parts of the country in next 24 hours. However, it said, rain-thundershowers with gusty winds are expected at isolated places in Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala, Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar and Mardan Divisions, besides Islamabad, FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir over the period.
"Seasonal low lies over northeast Balochistan. Weak monsoon currents are penetrating in eastern parts of the country," it said, adding that partly cloudy/cloudy weather with chances of drizzle is however expected along the Sindh coast.
Maximum rainfall in Sindh was recorded in Islamkot as 74 mm, Kaloi 25 mm, Karachi 17 mm, Thatta 8 mm and Chachro 6 mm. Dadu, Larkana and Dalbandin were the hottest places in the country with maximum 44 degrees Celsius, each, Sibbi, Padidan, Nokkundi and Jaccobabad 43, each, in the last 24 hours.
