After serving for 20 long years as one of the most iconic Angels of Victoria's Secret, Adriana Lima bid a final teary good bye as she walked the ramp for the last time on Thursday.

The 37-year-old model thanked the audience at Victoria Secret Fashion Show 2018 and the brand while closing the show. Adriana appeared to be in tears as she placed her hands over her heart as the crowd gave her a standing ovation.

Lima also shared her gratitude for being the longest serving Victoria's Secret Angel in an Instagram post on Wednesday. “Dear Victoria, thank you for showing me the world, sharing your secrets, and most importantly not just giving me wings but teaching me to fly,” she wrote in the caption of the post.

While talking to People magazine, she said she's turning her attention to projects focusing on women empowerment. “I’m looking forward to support women and being connected to different projects that support women around the world,” she said ahead of walking her last Victoria's Secret fashion show.“[That's] my future from now on, but I am still happy that I am part of Victoria’s Secret this year,” she added. “You guys are going to love this year’s show. To me it is definitely going be very special,” Adriana said.

Apart from Adriana, sisters Bella and Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner also walked the ramp for one of the biggest fashion shows worldwide.
