The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMAP) and USA-based Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) recently signed an agreement for building capacity in the area of anti-corruption compliance and corporate governance.
Under the memorandum signed, the two institutions will jointly conduct seminars, workshops and lectures throughout Pakistan to bring about awareness about malpractices that leads to damaging the credibility of business organizations in dealing and trading within the country and abroad.
Both ICMA Pakistan and CIPE will be facilitating the ministries, regulators and overseeing agencies to develop policies and procedures to audit and monitor transactions with respect to anti-corruption. Both institutions will also pool their resources to conduct research and publish reports for ministries, regulators, organizations and general public.
The agreement was signed by Sayyid Mansoob Hassan, Chairman SME Board of ICMA Pakistan and Hammad Siddiqui, Country Director, CIPE Pakistan whereas Anis-ur-Rehman, Vice President, ICMAP; Tariq Hussain, Member SME Board, ICMAP; Imran Ahmad, Additional Director IH&SME FD, SBP, Member SME Board, ICMAP; Mohammad Raza Baqir, Executive Director, ICMAP and Muhammad Talib Uz Zaman, Program Officer, CIPE Pakistan also witnessed the signing ceremony.-PR
