School of Nursing KGA arranges community health camp

A community health camp arranged by School of Nursing Kharadar General Hospital at Younisabad Keamari a slum & underprivileged area of Karachi. On Inauguration an eminent philanthropist & industrialist Bashir Janmohammed said only we can meet the health challenges to promote awareness &prevention in community.
He appreciated the efforts of students of School of Nursing KGH regarding health education & Awareness. Chief Executive Officer Dr Khalid Iqbal said that unhygienic condition & environmental pollution enhance the health complications specially such area of Karachi facing problems of Malaria, Dengue, Chikungunya & etc. However, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, hepatitis & chronic lung disease also main cause of morbidity & mortality.
Principal School of Nursing Talat Shah said that nursing profession & education is now being updated with community research & development. Students have been engaged to work in deserving communities. Hundreds of patients of Younisabad & near by population attended camp & availed the facilities. Facilities of free medical check up, tests & medication were offered in the camp. However nursing student arranged awareness camp on Hypertension, Diabetes mellitus, personal hygiene, and heat stroke & Chikungunya. Gifts were also distributed among the children.-PR
