15 Pakistani students sent to Singapore University

Habib University, in collaboration with Sajjad Foundation of Singapore, has sent a group of 15 students to the National University of Singapore (NUS) under the two-week NUS Enterprise Summer Programme 2017. In a statement issued by Habib University on Tuesday, Mehreen Soomro, Manager Admissions at Habib University, said it was inspiring and challenging for the university to select 15 students from "such accomplished and diverse group of students."
Ali Hussain, the chairman of the Singapore-based philanthropic organization, Sajjad Foundation, said that the opportunity to spend a summer in Singapore will expose the visitors to alternative perspectives and better prepare them for leadership roles in Pakistan. Over four hundred students from more than 75 colleges and universities across Pakistan had applied for the program.
The selected students are from areas including Abbottabad, Karachi,Kasur, Lahore,Peshawar, Quetta, Rawalpindi, Sibi and Wah. They come from institutions including the Lahore University of Management Sciences, the Institute of Business Administration, Habib University, the Institute of Business Management, the Institute of Management Sciences in Peshawar, Lahore School of Economics, the Institute of Space Technology and the Forman Christian College.
