PPP advises PML-N to avoid confrontation

12 Jul, 2017

Pakistan Peoples Party Lahore President Aziz-ur-Rehman Chan has advised the PML-N government to avoid confrontation with the constitutional institutions of the state, saying the PPP would not let it dictate the institutions in the name of democracy.
He said that the PML-N leaders have started issuing confrontational statements against the institutions which tantamount to the violation of constitutional provisions. They are making efforts to spread anarchy in the country, he added.
According to him, every leader of the PML-N is issuing statements like Nehal Hashmi and challenging the writ of the state institutions but the PPP would protect these institutions in the larger interest of democracy in Pakistan. He said the prime minister should resign immediately after the JIT report and face corruption charges in the courts of law.
