Name 'conspirators,' PPP asks PML-N

Qamar Zaman Kaira, former information minister and Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians (PPPP) leader has said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should disclose who is 'conspiring' against him; otherwise, he should step down immediately. "The party does not see any conspiracy against the Prime Minister. The Prime Minister has always claimed of being victimised when the situation goes against him. There is no threat to democracy if the Prime Minster steps down," Kaira expressed these views while addressing a news conference on Saturday.
"If you'll not name those who you claim are conspiring against you, you are committing a crime," he added. The ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has recently claimed that a conspiracy is being hatched against the government and democracy. Kaira said, "We have asked several times who is hatching conspiracies against the Prime Minister. If there is any conspiracy against democracy, tell us...we will save democracy." He said that PML-N doesn't need to worry about the democratic process, saying "we are here to save democracy."
He said that the Prime Minister should summon a meeting of the parliamentary parties to explain to them about the conspiracies allegedly being hatched against him. He said, "The Prime Minister also needs to reveal how he became wealthy so fast during his rule from 1990 to 1993 and why he had befriended Indian Premier Narendra Modi."
He said that two of the top court's judges had issued a verdict against him, followed by the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) report which had held his family responsible for hiding assets and forging documents. The PPPP leader said that the Prime Minister should not hide behind claims of being victimised. "You should not pretend that you are innocent after all of your looted wealth is exposed and your sons' properties are equivalent to those of a monarch," he remarked.
