Siraj urges political, army leadership to get rid of US blackmailing

Chief of Jamaat e Islami Pakistan, Sirajul Haq has stressed upon the political and military leadership of the country to work out a common strategy to get rid of the US blackmailing in the future. While talking to different delegations at Mansoora on Sunday, he said the US pressure on this country and its demands to "Do More" had become a bane for the country's security. He said the US attitude had always been authoritarian and not friendly. He said the US's presence in the region aimed not at peace but at building India as regional policeman and to oversee China.
He further said that the rulers would have to cut down their luxurious spending and move toward self reliance in order to strengthen national security and achieve autonomy which would require reducing budget deficit and enhance exports. The JI chief said that the JIT report had further exposed the rulers. Every page of the JIT report mentioned the rulers' wealth but did not explain the sources of their earning and it seemed the rulers had Allah Din's lamp which helped them mint money.
He said the ruling elite had made the country and the nation slave of the US and the IMF only to continue their luxurious living. That was why the US was bidding Islamabad for "Do More" every other day and the US interference in our policies had increased. In spite of the rulers putting the vital national interest at stake to please Washington, the US had neither acknowledged Pakistan's sacrifices for the US nor trusted the rulers.
The JI chief said that Washington had never stood by Pakistan during the last seventy years. On the other hand, it had betrayed this country in every difficulty hour. It was primarily because of the US that the Kashmir and Palestine issues had not been resolved as the US had stood by India and Israel although India and Israel were committing untold brutalities on the Kashmiris and the Palestinian Muslims.
The US, he said, had thrust a war on the Muslims all over the world in the name of terrorism. Thousands of Muslims had been massacred in Iraq and Afghanistan while Syria was currently being destroyed. He said that Pakistan had suffered the most for being a US ally in the Afghan war and around hundreds of Pakistanis had lost their lives. The financial losses in the Afghan war raged around one hundred billion dollars. In spite of that, he said, whenever Islamabad tried for cease fire with the Afghan leaders, the US sabotaged that. This proved that the US intentionally wanted to prolong the conflict in Afghanistan.
