Hyderabad has become a safe city: commissioner

The Divisional Commissioner Hyderabad Saeed Ahmed Mangnejo has said that Hyderabad used to be considered as sensitive city in past but due to untiring efforts of law enforcement agencies and with the grace of Almighty Allah, law & order situation has improved quite satisfactorily in Hyderabad. He said that all possible measures had been taken and National Action Plan implemented with letter & spirit to make Hyderabad as safe city.
He was on Monday presiding a Divisional Coordination Committee's meeting, which was attended by DIG Hyderabad Khadim Hussain Rind, all Deputy Commissioners of Hyderabad Division, Additional Commissioner-I & II, officers of jail, police and traffic police, representatives of intelligence agencies, Pak Army and Rangers and other officers concerned.
During the briefing about controlling the crime and strategy to ensure implementation on National Action Plan, the meeting was informed that Hyderabad Division was over all had been remained peaceful for few years while law & order situation was under control. Besides, crime also remained under control in urban and rural areas of Hyderabad Division. It was informed that few criminal activities had been reported in Hyderabad in which police promptly took action and arrested few people.
The meeting also discussed the post rain situation, security arrangements on mosques, shrines, Imam Bargahs, churches, railway stations and educational institutions. The meeting was also informed about encroachments and traffic flow in Hyderabad. All the Deputy Commissioners of Hyderabad Division also briefed the meeting about security and other related issues of their respective districts. The Commissioner Hyderabad said that civil military administration and other institutions had been working in the interest of the country.
