The House Business Advisory Committee of the Senate met here at the Parliament House on Monday to discuss a strategy on transaction of the business in the House as the session has been summoned on the requisition of the opposition. The committee presided over by Chairman Senate Mian Raza Rabbani, discussed in detail the business to be transacted during the 264th session of the Senate and some other national and international issues.
The committee also offered condolences on the sudden death of Senator Agha Shahbaz Durrani. The members of the committee paid rich tributes to the services of late Agha Shahbaz Durrani. While offering Fateha, the committee prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace. Chairman Senate Mian Raza Rabbani said that late Agha Shahbaz Durrani was most vocal voice of Balochistan province and he had always raised issues related to the people of province. "His services for democracy would long be remembered," Rabbani remarked.
Besides other important issues of national and international significance, the current session would take up condolence resolution and reference for Agha Shahbaz Khan Durrani who passed away on June 25, 2017. The meeting was also attended by Leader of the House Raja Muhammad Zafar-ul-Haq, Leader of Opposition Aitzaz Ahsan, and Senators Taj Haider, Ilyas Ahmad Bilour, Saleem Zia, Mushahidullah Khan and Azam Khan Swati, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Aftab Ahmed Sheikh, Secretary Senate Amjed Pervez Malik and other senior officers of the Senate Secretariat.
