Saim Tariq and Waji Ullah Nasim took berth into the final of the Abbottabad District Summer Camp Squash Tournament being played at Jansher Khan Squash Complex Abbottabad on Wednesday. The final will be played on Thursday with DPO Abbottabad Kamal Anwar will grace the occasion as chief guest.
Earlier, in the semi-final Saim Tariq recorded victory against Ahmad Ali in the marathon five sets match witnessed by capacity crowd present on this occasion. Saim Tariq lost the first two sets at 6-11 and 10-12 but he managed his position according to the situation and staged a strong come by winning three consecutive sets by 11-7, 12-10 and 13-11. Saim and Ahmad Ali played well and exhibited some good attacking game.
In the second semi-final Waji Ullah defeated Ihsan Khan in another thrilling match. Ihsan Khan won the first set by 11-13 but he failed to click in the remaining three set won by Waji Ullah Nasim at 11-9, 12-10 and 11-7. Former Director Operation and President Abbottabad District Squash Association Tariq Mehmood, Secretary Syed Ibrar Shah and large number of spectators were also present and witnessed the semi-final matches.
