With the aim to facilitate commuters and make their trips easy, National Highway Authority has released an application that gives users an in-depth view of toll rates, maps of different cities, ongoing projects and more.

Aimed at helping government to take forward the ‘Right to Information’ initiative, the app, named NHA-IS, was launched last week to provide all the public related information to motorists to help them with their commute with just one click away. Within days, the app got over 5,000+ downloads.

So far the app has received mixed reviews from users with a 4.4 rating on Google Play Store. For now, the app is available for Android with an iOS version releasing on November 27.

The application is easy to use and one can find his way through the app. The application offers seven major features that can be accessed upon tapping the three lines at the top left corner of the screen. Here are the features:

Projects

This first feature on the app categorizes all four provinces (Punjab, Sindh, KP, Balochistan, AJK, GB) and provides information about ongoing projects in the specific province. The data provided includes number of details including contract cost, completion date, progress rate, person of contact details and a map of the area the project will cover.

Road Safety

There is also ‘Road Safety’ that provides users instructions of different road safety measures that travelers need to take while driving, such as no mobile usage and fastening seat belt.

The app also provides an ‘Interactive Map’ providing a detailed map of the entire globe, which locates even different areas and routes of the specific city upon zooming.

NH&MP

The ‘NH&MP’ option provides various information to the users such as driving tips, penalty table, licensing and complaint cell. When any option is tapped, it leads to National Highway & Motorway Police’s website which further details other information.

Contact Us

The last feature ‘Contact Us’ feature, just like others, provides contact details including various phone numbers, email, location, website etc.
