Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q) senior central leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Ch Pervez Elahi has held Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif responsible for extra deaths of injured persons as they have not provided initial first aid due to government negligence.
"The reason for demise of the injured persons, who survived terrorism, is due to lack of facilities and medicines for which Shahbaz Sharif is responsible because number of persons becoming victim of terrorism is increased manifold as the government hospitals in Punjab lack necessary facilities whose blood is also on Shahbaz Sharif along with the terrorists, likewise those who survive terrorists breathe their last on account of lack of medical facilities in the government hospitals," the PML leader said in a statement Tuesday.
Ch Pervez Elahi said during present 10 years of Shahbaz Sharif government in Punjab only in Lahore more than 800 innocent civilians have lost their lives, ordinary patients are struggling for their life in the government hospitals then who will care for the injured persons there, the Chief Minister and his ministers reach hospitals after every incident with bouquets for photo session whereas at time the injured persons are in need of medicines and facilities and not bouquets which are not available there. Ch Pervez Elahi said that if Shahbaz Sharif had not destroyed the government hospitals in Punjab during last ten years then lives of hundreds of injured persons could have been saved by now.
