PFA seals food outlet

The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) on Thursday sealed 'Honey Classic Ice Cream & Kulfa' factory situated on Ferozepur Road on the charges of using unhygienic ingredients and wasted 890 liters of kulfa. PFA Director General (Operations) Rafia Haider while talking to media disclosed that the factory was preparing ice cream and kulfa for different marriage halls and catering companies.
It was using vegetable fat, flavours and chemicals injurious to health. She said no expiry date was printed on the packing of kulfa and ready to ship items were stored in very dirty store. The store had open drains and gutter. Meanwhile, other field teams imposed fines on Anees Associates, Aljannat Foods, Arif Naan Shop, Data Milk Shop, Masha Allah Naan Shop and Alam Bakery situated in different parts of the city on charges of dirty working area, not having food business license and employing workers without proper medical certificates.
