A resident of Lal Kila Lower Dir district has demanded of the provincial government and police high-ups to take action against the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) and Station House Officer for allegedly misusing of authority and sought protection of his family from them. He said that when his brother, who is a doctor by profession, visited their village some days back. The SHO impounded vehicle of his brother in the police station without having any charges against him. Alhamuddin said that despite the presence of security forces in the region, the police are harassing the residents of the area. He demanded of the police high-ups to take immediate notice of the situation. He further said that the DSP had warned him, if the extortion money was not given to him within next few days, he would face dire consequence. He demanded of the Chief Minister Pervez Khattak, IGP KP Salahuddin Mehsud and other officials concerned to take immediate action against the police officials and provide him justice.
