TDAP assures support to hosiery manufacturers

Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) will extend support to Pakistan Knitwear Training Institute (PKTI) in their efforts to upgrade and repair the dilapidated condition of PKTI building so that the skilled labour could be provided to knitwear sector.
Riaz Ahmad, Director General Trade Development Authority of Pakistan, Lahore assured so that skilled Vice Principal PKTI Tayyab Mir and Secretary General Pakistan Hosiery Manufacturers Association (PHMA) Muhammad Ayub in a meeting held here on Thusdat at TDAP, Lahore. The D.G also promised to help PKTI in the construction of new rooms. Earlier, Vice Principal PKTI Tayyab Mir apprised the DG about the project history and achievements of PKTI for preparing the technical manpower for the country.
He informed the D.G that PKTI is also working for the empowerment of women through providing them technical training so that they could also add their contribution in the national development.
Mir also apprised the D.G TDAP about the problems and issues being faced by PKTI. The D.G assured his cooperation in solving out their problems pertaining to Pakistan Knitwear Training Institute. Director TDAP Muhammad Irfan and Deputy Director Muhammad Umar Ashraf were also present during the meeting.
