Crime incidents on the rise in capital

The incidents of robberies and snatching at gunpoint registered an upward trend during the last week in federal capital, belying tall claims of police regarding comprehensive security arrangements in the city. According to data gathered by Business Recorder here on Saturday, various police stations of the city registered 10 cases of thefts including robberies and snatching, four cases of motor vehicles theft, three cases each of kidnapping and murder during the last single week.
The criminal gangs had a field day within the limits of Sihala, Kohsar, Ramna, Tarnol, Secretariat and Margalla police stations. During the period under review, the police registered two cases of robberies and one case of auto theft. One Zulfiqar Ali registered a complaint with Sihala police station that unknown robber stole two mobile phones from his car. The thieves stole a bike (RIP-7724) of Abid Fraz from the limits of same police station.
In another incident, a person informed Sihala police station that the accused Ibrahim Amjad and Basir broke into his house and looted valuables including gold ornaments, cash and mobiles phones. During the last week, Ramna police station registered one case each of robbery and kidnapping. One Muhammad Imran of sector G-12 lodged a complaint with Ramna police station that the accused Zaheer Abbas, Ali Abbas, Muhammad Shakeel, Kaleem Khan and Shahid Imran kidnapped his sister.
In yet another incident, Dr Fiaza Iqbal registered a complaint with Ramna police station that unknown robbers stole a purse from her car, containing cash and a mobile phone. Tarnol police station registered overall three cases of robbery, kidnapping and auto theft. One Anwarullah of Syria Kharboza registered a complaint with Tarnol police station that the accused Kamran, Saddiqiue and Sajid Shah have kidnapped his brother Zaib Ullah.
One Shahid Rehman lodged a complaint with Tarnol police station that unknown robbers stole cash, gold ornaments, a pistol and a UPS from his house. Auto thieves stole a car (AZX-114) of Khakim Khan from the limits of the same police station. Kohsar police station registered two cases of robbery. One Mumtaz Ali lodged a complaint with Kohsar police station that unknown pickpockets stole cash from his pocket. In another incident, Syed Shibli Fraz registered a complaint with Kohsar police station that unknown robbers stole important documents from his house.
