Punjab jobs portal goes online from 10 August

Unified portal 'Punjab Jobs Online' developed by Punjab Information Technology Board will enable job seekers to view all Punjab government jobs on a single platform and it will ensure transparency and fairness in hiring process subsequently decreasing administrative overhead and burden on government departments. Dr Umar Saif founding Vice Chancellor ITU Punjab, Chairman PITB and Advisor to the CM Punjab said while chairing a review meeting on Saturday.
"This automated recruitment system will revolutionize the hiring process in public sector and is a major step towards a transparent hiring process in Punjab," Dr Umar Saif added.
The Chairman PITB was informed that new jobs could be created and made available to masses through click of a button. Candidates would be short-listed electronically as per criteria defined in Contract & Recruitment Policy, enabling the departments to formulate interview panels, prepare comparative reports and verify applicants through different data sources such as NADRA, Driving License Management System, Domicile System and Criminal databases, the meeting was apprised.
From 10th August onwards, all recruitments in government departments from (BPS-11-17) shall be conducted through this portal. In this regard a comprehensive 3-day training session is being held from 7th-9th August 2017 in Arfa Software Technology Park, which will be participated by representatives from all Punjab government departments for a complete overview and a comprehensive hand on training on using the system.
Candidates can create profile through CV builder, use advanced searching criteria to find jobs relevant to their skill set, link public profiles (LinkedIn and Facebook) and get information about application status via email and SMS.
