Noor Zaman, former personal secretary of MNA Ayesha Gulalai, has announced to move the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ehtesaab Commission (KPEC) against Ayesha Gulalai and her father Shams ul Qayyum over alleged corruption in development projects in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Speaking at a news conference at Peshawar Press Club on Monday, Noor Zaman said Gulalai did corruption of Rs 7.2 million in the project of road construction from Bannu Link Road to Sada Khel Road. He said that he himself provided her Rs 4.7 million. He accused Gulalai of embezzlement of Rs 1.2 million in the funds given to build road from Lakki Marwat to Tari Khel while Rs 0.6 million from the project to install solar tube well were also misused.
Flanked by the PTI former candidate from NA-31 Shangla, Nawaz Mehmood, the party president from Lakki Marwat Saleem Nawaz and others, Noor Zaman asked the Gulalai to apologize from the nation and return back the looted money. Ayesha used this money for the construction of her house at the cost of Rs 10 million in Bannu, he added. He said the corruption in developmental projects should be investigated and urged the NAB and KPEC to thoroughly probe into the assets of Ayesha Gulalai and her father.
Saleem Nawaz said on the occasion that PTI legal team is preparing case against Ayesha Gulalai and her father and decided to submit a petition in NAB and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ehtesaab Commission against them over alleged corruption charges. He demanded the government to put names of Ayesha Gulalai and her father on Exit Control List. He urged the NAB and other anti-corruption institutions to take notice against them over alleged corruptions.
Earlier, addressing the press conference, Nawaz Mehmood said that the first time in the history of the country, corruption of politicians were exposed by PTI chief Imran Khan.
