Spokesman of Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department Punjab has said that neither the department intends to victimize present or former leadership of Young Doctors Association (YDA) nor any victimisation is being carried out. He further said that academic councils and disciplinary committees of teaching hospitals and medical education institutions are fully empowered.
He said that academic council takes disciplinary action as per law against those creating hurdles in treatment of patients in any hospital or specialized healthcare institution, stopping forcibly doctors and staff performing duty and displaying insulting attitude towards professors or medical superintendents.
