Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Sirajul Haq has slated the callousness of the organisers of the ousted Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's rally who had left the 12-year old child unattended after he was hit by their car near Gujrat. He was talking to the media after visiting the house of the unfortunate child on Sunday. He offered his condolences to the bereaved family.
Sirajul Haq said that the death of the child after being hit by the car on roadside was a tragedy but the greater tragedy was that the participants of the rally did not bother to shift the injured child to a hospital. He said this amply reflected the mindset of the elite who did not consider the poor as human beings. He demanded that the responsibility of the child death be fixed and the bereaved family be compensated fully.
