PML-N has a history of maligning apex court: Musharraf

14 Aug, 2017

Chairman All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) General Pervez Musharraf (Retd) has said that there is political chaos in the country to such an extent that not even educated people knows what will happen next day. Addressing the public meeting at Dhobi Ghaat Faisalabad, he said a political party in the government taking out rallies to malign apex court which is disgraceful for the country in international community.
He stressed his allies to keep up this unity and they will become third largest political force of the country. General Musharraf (Retd) said that some external forces are dangerous for Pakistan. "But Pakistani people should trust their armed forces that they will save the country with their full capability." He said that he will soon announce schedule of his return to the country.
General Musharraf (Retd) said that people respect decisions of the superior courts all around the world whereas PML-N showing disregard and disrespect taking out rallies while trampling upon and killing innocent people. "It is not for the first time, as PML-N has a history to attack the Supreme Court in the past. If Supreme Court takes action against me, it is good and if it takes actions against Nawaz Sharif it is bad." He said, "In our tenure in the government, we improved lives of ordinary people. We provided basic necessities to ordinary man in villages and small town unlike mega projects in the big cities. We provided education and health facilities to the ordinary people and upgraded their livelihood. Above all, at our time in the government, Pakistan was respected worldwide. Pakistanis were travelling around the world with dignity and honour. Nations around the world respected this country and its passport holders. In our tenure Pakistan prospered in all important fields like telecommunication, infrastructure, industries and agriculture etc. We did practical work unlike PML-N and PPP. Serving this country for 9 years, when I left, PPP and (PML-N) destroyed the country in every respect. PPP in its five years tenure did nothing but loot and plunder. Its government not installed even a single project. They just looted the money and shifted out of country. PML-N doing the same with exaggerated claims of boosting the economy."
General Musharraf (Retd) said that PML-N has destroyed economy of the country. "First time in the history, Pakistan's foreign debts reached 80 billion dollars while no investment coming from abroad." He further said, "Pakistan's exports dropped by 5 to 6 billion dollars. More than 100 textile units in Faisalabad had gone closed. The ultimate result of which is unemployment that increase poverty and hunger. It was during our tenure that Pakistan prospered in every field from agriculture to industries. We constructed new dams."
Musharraf said that the claims of PML-N regarding representation of public were fake. "In 2013 elections, PML-N received only 17 percent votes that too from Punjab. PML-N is regional party that is a threat to the federation. He said that he is happy that people from different political parties came to attend this public meeting. Together we shall rise to form a third political force in the country. We have to rise above our regional identities and become Pakistanis first", he added. Addressing to the meeting, Secretary General APML Dr Amjad said that Dhobi Ghaat bears historical significance. "It is the origin of large scale movements and we also started our campaign from here. Such a large gathering of people is a proof that people want change and how much they love and trust General Musharraf (Retd)."
