The 70th Independence Day of Pakistan is planned to take place in upbeat spirit, an official of Karachi Port Trust (KPT) said here on Sunday. He said that the proceedings at KPT head Office will commence with beguile blowing for two minutes, from 8:58 - 9:00 am, to be followed by the flag hoisting at KPT Head Office Building by the Director General Ports and Shipping Asad Rafi Chandana.
The Director General Ports and Shipping Asaf Rafi Chandana will then take guard of honour from the contingents of parade battalions of Port Fire Service Department, Port Security Force Department, Port Civil Defence Department, Traffic Department, sports Department, Marine Apprentices (A&B) and Karachi sea scouts on the occasion.
The order of the day will also be read on the occasion which will be followed by the Chief Guest's speech. Later, the prize distribution amongst the Employees of the Year will be distributed. Having the presence of youth on this occasion, certain games are also planned to take place on this occasion. The KPT administration will distribute sweets amongst the guards on duty as well as patients admitted in KPT Hospital.
