Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University Peshawar (SBBWUP) marked 70th Independence Day at main campus. The spirit of Independence Day was celebrated with zeal and fervour. The event started with the flag hoisting ceremony. Professor Dr Razia Sultana, Vice Chancellor, SBBWUP hoisted the national flag. Mr. Mehmood Jan, Member Provincial Assembly graced the occasion as chief guest.
The event was composed of various speeches in relevance to the occasion and national songs were presented by the students Cake cutting ceremony was also held during the event. The overall theme of the event was, "Peace, Tolerance Harmony and Honesty." On the occasion, Professor Dr Razia Sultana, Vice Chancellor, SBBWUP said that we all know that this beloved nation was acquired because of the great sacrifices of our ancestors. They were able to do it because they had values upon which they consented for a mutual cause. Dr Sultana dedicated this day to the "values". According to her the values determine the future of a nation.
