National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has written a letter to Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) to provide details of seven companies of Finance Minister Ishaq Dar in compliance with the Supreme Court judgment in the Panama Papers case.
The NAB on July 31 decided to file three references against the Sharif family and one against Finance Minister Dar for possessing assets beyond known sources of income.
Meanwhile sources said that NAB has also issued summons to Ishaq Dar but NAB officials did not confirm it.
The letter written by NAB to SECP is entitled as "provision of information under section 19 of NAB ordinance 1999-investigation against Muhammad Ishaq Dar, for accumulation of assets beyond known sources of income and other."
It says that in compliance with the order of the apex court, dated July 28, 2017, NAB Lahore is going to prepare and file a reference against these accused on subject allegations. It is requested to depute a concerned officer not below the rank of deputy director to attend the office of Combined Investigation Team at NAB Lahore office on August 23 along with certified copies of certificate of incorporation, form -21, form 29 articles of association and memorandum of association of the companies including a) CNG Pakistan Limited, b) Spencer Distribution (Pvt), Limited, c) Hajveri Holding (PVT) Limited, d) Gulf Insurance Company (Pvt) Ltd, e) HDS Securities (Pvt) Limited, f) Spencer Pharmacy (Pvt) limited, g) and Hajveri Modaraba Management Company (Pvt) Ltd.
The letter also says to carry out general search of companies being directed by Muhammad Ishaq Dar, son of Chanan Din Dar, Tabassum Ishaq Dar, the wife of Ishaq Dar, Ali Mustafa Dar, the son of Ishaq Dar, Asma Ali Dar, the wife of Ali Mustafa Dar and Mujtaba Hussain Dar, the son of Ishaq Dar.
Official sources said that NAB has received the Volumen-10 of the investigation report submitted with the Supreme Court by the Joint Investigation Team (JIT). The bureau received four attested copies of the investigation report, he said, adding that the investigation report''s Volumen-10 consists of more than 415 pages.
Sources also said that NAB has sought assistance under the NAB Ordinance from foreign countries in probe cases against the Sharif family.
The NAB has already summoned Nawaz Sharif and his sons Hussain and Hasan Nawaz in the Al-Azizia Steel Mills case today (Friday). They have been asked to appear before investigators in Lahore.
Sources also said that the bureau has constituted 14-member team for investigation of the Sharif family and preparing four references.
