Former Sindh Education Minister Pir Mazhar-ul-Haq got a clean chit from the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) as the prosecutor absolved him in fake appointments case, on Thursday. The NAB stopped its investigation pertaining to the alleged fake appointments in the Sindh government's department of education. During a hearing of the fake appointments case at the Sindh High Court, the prosecutor of the NAB stated that the accountability bureau had completed its inquiry and Pir Mazhar's name has been discarded from the investigation.
References against other suspects, however, have been registered. As per the prosecutor, Pir Mazhar's office had not made the fake appointments. Pir Mazhar-ul-Haq was co-accused with other officers of the Sindh education department of conducting fake appointments.
