KP government believes in result-oriented governance: Khattak

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has said that KP government believed in the result-oriented governance in the province. He was highly appreciative of the valuable contribution, the outgoing Chief Secretary made to the smooth, transparent and good governance in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
He was addressing a dinner hosted in honor of outgoing Chief Secretary Abid Saeed at Officer Mess Peshawar. Provincial Ministers and administrative secretaries attended the dinner.
The Chief Minister said that it was totally a misconception to declare the government targets hard and unachievable adding that prosperity and development came through the right kind of system, he added. He had spent all his life in the services of people. He is witnessed to the hardships of the hapless people and it was his mission to leave behind a legacy of good and transparent governance free from corruption and irregularities.
When he took over the system was inefficient to deliver. The public sector institutions were in total disarray therefore he took upon himself to give a system to this province where the institutions had a dynamism and efficiency to deliver and the politicians watch the entire system from above, he added. He called upon the bureaucracy to utilize their expertise that they gained during their service career for the benefit of the people.
Pervez Khattak said his government has an agenda for change in order to give relief to the people. He appreciated the outgoing chief secretary and the administrative secretaries for their excellent advices. He was satisfied because he tracked the system on the right track and asked the bureaucracy to let it be implemented. He was optimistic that PTI would stage a comeback to power on the basis of its delivery, he added.
The outgoing Chief Secretary Abid Saeed shared his experiences with the audience and termed his tenure in KP as the most excellent. It was a good experience and he was supported by the whole bureaucracy and he honestly gave advices on professional lines. He appreciated the vision of the KP government that is visible in projects such as Billion Tree Tsunami, reforms for depoliticizing institutions; laws for corruption free KP, Police reforms and infrastructure development. He was hopeful about the brilliant performance by the bureaucracy in the KP. The Chief Minister also gave gifts and shields to the outgoing Chief Secretary.
