The Law Department, FATA has released the details of acts in tribal areas under National Action Plan (NAP) in the Senate Standing Committee on SAFRAN here on Friday. From December 2014 till date, 1086 terrorists were killed and 210 suspected terrorists were arrested under NAP. There are total 655 seminaries out of which 323 are unregistered.
The number of students in the seminaries is 186775 while the number of teachers is 2703. 596 combing operations by the law enforcing agencies were held in FATA while 62 intelligence-based operations took place. During the operations, 1539 people were arrested out of whom 342 were terrorists.
Similarly, 11 suicide attacks were occurred in FATA during the prescribed period and 2974 tribal people have entered Iran by crossing Pak-Iran border who have not retuned so far. Likewise, 2955 Afghan nationals have been sent to Afghanistan.-PR
