The PML-N spokesman said on Saturday that Nawaz Sharif has appointed PML-N Lahore President Pervaiz Malik as in-charge of election campaign of Kulsoom Nawaz in NA-120. He further added that both Hamza Shahbaz and Mariam Nawaz would be assisting Malik during the election campaign. It may be noted that the electronic media had started airing reports that Hamza has been removed from the responsibility of heading the campaign in NA-120 and he is likely to leave the country.
Interestingly, Hamza had also chaired a meeting of PML-N office-bearers from NA-120 in the afternoon. It was coupled with a statement from Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif that the PML-N leadership should avoid exchange of allegations against each other. Accordingly, a section of the media started airing rumours regarding a clash between the Sharifs.
However, the PML-N spokesman claimed that the party was quite intact and those predicting differences would have to face embarrassment at the end of the day. Mariam Nawaz tweeted separately and said the opponents would bite the dust against their desire for witnessing differences in the Sharif family.
