Consensus over protection of wildlife

Wildlife Department Punjab, Environment Protection Department and World Wide Fund (WWF) for Nature have developed consensus to work for the protection of wildlife especially 'Urial' in Kala Chitta National Park (Attock). Consensus to this effect was reached at a meeting held in the office of the Director General Wildlife Khalid Ayyaz Khan here on Tuesday. Secretary Environment Punjab Capt. Saif (retd) and WWF Director General Hammad Naqi and others participated in the meeting.
The meeting decided that a special team from Guttwala Research Center Faisalabad will visit the area and prepare a detailed survey about steps taken for wildlife protection, 'Urial' population and number of protection staff in the area. It was further decided to devise a management plan in light of this survey report and implement this plan in collaboration with the local population.
