Kyrgyzstan simplifies visa process for tourists, traders

The government of Kyrgyzstan has decided to simplify the visa process for the Pakistani tourists and business travellers by launching the electronic visa process. This was stated by Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan Erik Aidarkanovich Beishembiev in Islamabad during a tourism promotion conference on Kyrgyzstan here on Tuesday.
He further said that there is a huge tourism potential in his country. "It is the most developed tourist country in Central Asia," he added. He assured the Pakistani community that Kyrgyzstan will assist them in their travel plans to ensure closer cultural and economic ties between the two countries. Offering details about the visa, Kyrgyzstan First Secretary Esen Aksamaev said in order to facilitate Pakistan they have introduced this visa type which will start from September 1. "The visa decision time is reduced from seven days to three days under the new visa regime," he added.
On the occasion, Saqib Gulzar, General Manager of FERM Travels, announced that Kyrgyzstan wants to become hub for Pakistani tourists for the current summer season. "Kyrgyzstan offers natural beauty, large lakes with water sports, and also extensive trade opportunities, for Pakistani traders.
"After joining the Eurasian Economic Union, Kyrgyzstan has become part of a large block which together has the highest oil and gas resources in the world. The Pakistani traders can use Kyrgyzstan as transit to send their products all over Russia, Kazakhstan and even Europe, without any further customs duties or border checks," he said.
